We make camping easy!

RENTING WITH THAMES VALLEY OUTFITTERS

Everything you need to know before renting your gear! 

  1. Browse through our list of rental gear and pre-designed camping packages.
  2. Select the dates you wish to book your rental.
  3. Fill in your contact information and confirm your booking.
  4. To make sure all the gear is ready for your trip, we will confirm your booking before payment.
  5. A security deposit is required for your rental. This pre-authorized charge covers damages, loss, and destruction of the rental items. We will contact you the day before your rental to confirm this deposit. This pre-authorization will be applied the day your rental is delivered. The pre-authorization will be lifted once the items are picked up/returned, checked, and no loss or damages are noted.
  6. Once gear is confirmed for your trip, an invoice with payment instructions will be sent. We accept all major credit cards. If you wish to send an e-transfer, please contact us and we will set that up! *Please note, a credit card is necessary for the deposit. 
  7. Gear will be delivered to your house the day before your departure (typically evening delivery). See "Delivery" section below for more details.
  8. Gear will be picked up the day after you return from your trip. See "Delivery" section below for more details.

Delivery

Our delivery area services major cities surrounding the Thames Valley. We are based in London, ON.

Free delivery for rentals over $200 and within the London, ON area (30KM radius).

Rentals below $200 or outside the London, ON area (30KM radius), are subject to a $30 delivery fee.

While we don't have a storefront at this moment, we are happy to accommodate pick ups in London, ON. If you are passing through the city on the day of your rental delivery, please let us know, and we will set up a location to meet. 

There are no restrictions on where your rental gear can go! Rent in London, ON, camp in Algonquin! 

Gear will be picked up the day after you return from your trip. If a meet up location was established, a time will be scheduled for pickup.

Cancellations

You can cancel your order at no additional cost up to 7 days before your original reservation date.

If you cancel between 7 and 3 days prior to your reservation, a 25% late cancellation fee (of the invoice total) will apply.

Cancellations made less than 3 days before the reservation will incur a 50% late cancellation fee (of the invoice total).

Damages and Loss

Damaged Gear

Things happen, but with good gear, it happens less often. With that in mind, rips, tears, stains, missing parts, burn holes and dents, are all reasons you would be charged. Extent of the damages will be assessed after the gear is returned. Your security deposit, less the amount to repair the damaged gear, will be returned.




Cleanliness

We ask that all gear is cleared of any dirt or mud, and any tents/tarps are dry before returning. A cleaning fee of $50 will be charged if dirty/wet gear is returned. 




Loss of Gear


You are responsible for the gear during the rental term and bear all risks of loss, theft, or destruction, regardless of cause. If the equipment is lost, stolen or destroyed during the rental term, you must notify us immediately. You will pay Thames Valley Outfitters the retail cost to replace the lost, stolen or destroyed gear
